NRS Dåfjord
A 15,800 m² smolt facility at Dåfjord in Troms, northern Norway.
The smolt facility at Winterneset, Dåfjord, in Karlsøy Municipality, Troms, was developed by Norway Royal Salmon (NRS), now part of SalMar. Design started in 2018, and the facility was completed in 2023. The building is designed for flexible production and phased growth, so output can follow varying requirements for smolt size, quantity and delivery time. Production, administration and support functions share one building, which keeps distances between departments short.
