Lofotprodukt Leknes
A processing plant for salmon, trout and minced products, extended in two phases with six hygiene zones.
Lofotprodukt at Leknes in Lofoten, northern Norway, is part of the Norwegian seafood group Insula. The original production building of about 5,500 m² was completed in 2010. An extension of about 7,000 m² followed in 2018 and 2019, and the existing plant was rebuilt in the same project. Together the two stages cover around 14,000 m².
The work made use of existing areas and joined new and existing parts in one continuous flow of goods and staff. Both stages were designed with architecture and landscape as one commission.
