Lerøy Hitra
A 15,000 m² salmon processing plant on Hitra, off the mid-Norwegian coast, that brought Lerøy Midt's processing into one building in 2019.
The plant on Jøsnøya, Hitra, was designed from 2013 and completed in 2019. It combines salmon processing with an administration building for Lerøy Midt. Building structure and production systems are closely integrated, and a main aim was a compact, highly automated layout. The project also includes landscaped outdoor areas with parking, logistics infrastructure and staff amenities. The office was architect, landscape architect and responsible applicant, and assisted with support systems and machine layout in the early phase.
