Blått Competence Centre
Blått, Norwegian for blue, is an aquaculture innovation centre on Frøya, off the mid-Norwegian coast, built in two stages in 2018 and 2019.
The centre was established by NTNU, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, together with Trøndelag County and the aquaculture industry. It combines offices for seafood and technology companies with space for research and education. The first stage, completed in 2018, holds the competence centre and teaching rooms for the aquaculture programme at the local upper secondary school. The second stage, completed in 2019, added offices for rent and a new head office for Frøygruppen.
