BEWI Jøsnøya
A 5,000 m² factory on Hitra, off the mid-Norwegian coast, making expanded polystyrene (EPS) fish boxes for the neighbouring salmon plants.
New fish-box factory and fish offcut processing plant for BEWI on Jøsnøya, Hitra. The facility supports the surrounding seafood cluster by supplying expanded polystyrene boxes and processing fish offcuts from the adjacent salmon plants. The concept and the schematic design are the work of the office. The focus has been on logistics, connections to neighbouring plants and an industrial layout that allows for gradual expansion. The sketch design dates from 2017, and a preliminary design for a new box factory followed in 2022.
