RAS Belsvik

Phase 2 post-smolt production designed and built while Phase 1 hatchery continued in full operation. One of Norway’s largest smolt facilities, developed in two phases. Phase 1, including a smolt hatchery, was completed in 2013. Phase 2, including post-smolt production, was completed in 2022. The facility has a full-length viewing corridor with glass sections facing both the office areas and the RAS systems. The building volume is subdivided to adapt to the site, with a façade that references the traditional boathouse typology of the coastal environment.

Stage 1, which consisted of hatchery to smolt departments, was completed in 2013.

Stage 2 for post-smolt was completed in 2022. The building adapts to its surroundings with a compartmentalized volume and a facade that refers to the former rows of piers along the sea.
